Sue has been practicing and studying Iyengar yoga since 1984 and teaching since 1998. In 2001 she completed a three-year Teacher Training course at the Iyengar Yoga Institute in San Francisco. She currently studies with Kofi Busia, Sr. Iyengar teacher at Yoga Center Santa Cruz, and has many hours of intensive work in asana, pranayama, and meditation.
Other teachers she has studied with include: B.K.S. Iyengar, Geeta Iyengar (Iyengar's daughter), Jaki Nett, Judith Lasater, Ramanand Patel, Patricia Sullivan, Angela Farmer, Rodney Yee, John Schumacher, Manouso Manos, Mary Dunn, Gloria Goldberg, Shiva Rea, David Swenson, His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Sogyal Rinpoche, Jack Kornfield, Dr. Vasant Lad, Georg Feuerstein, Richard Rosen, Barbara Benagh, Amy Cooper, Ana Forrest, Tias Little, Aadil Palkhivala, Master Mantak Chia, Tsultrim Allione, and Lois Steinberg.
She holds a Masters Degree in Music with an emphasis on choral directing and has been doing professional level color photography since 1986. She and her husband, Win, currently reside in the Scotts Valley area of Lakeport, where they are in the process of building a strawbale and solar-powered home.
CAROLE McGEOCH
Iyengar Yoga Teacher
Carole has been practicing and studying Iyengar yoga since 1972. During her four years at Cabrillo College studying dental hygiene, she had the opportunity to take yoga classes with Roberta Bristol, one of the first Iyengar yoga teachers in America. In 2006 Carole completed a Teacher Training course at the Reformation Studio in Campbell with Kofi Busia, Sr. Iyengar teacher at Yoga Center Santa Cruz.
Carole currently studies yoga with Sue Stiles and Kofi Busia. Other teachers she has studied with include: Jaki Nett, Judith Hanson Lasater, Patricia Walden, Rodney Yee, John Friend, Gloria Goldberg, Rod Stryker, Seane Corn, Shiva Rea, Richard Rosen, Ana Forrest, Elise Browning Miller, Tias Little, Aadil Palkhivala, Tsultrim Allione, and Lois Steinberg.
Carole also enjoys horses and riding. She has been practicing dental hygiene since 1978 and moved to Lakeport with her husband, Sandy, in 1981. They share a dental practice in Lakeport and have two sons.
